Gregory Crawford, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Gregory Crawford is a California licensed clinical psychologist who graduated with his degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles campus. His previous clinical experiences include working with college students at city colleges and a University of California; severely mentally ill adults in a community mental health clinic; an inpatient co-occurring disorders clinic; a Veterans Health Administration hospital; and with children and adults in a private practice setting. He completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at the State Center Community College District, working at Fresno City College.
Dr. Crawford has experience working with a wide range of individuals, presenting problems and psychological disorders. His clinical interests consist of working with trauma-related disorders (clinical specialty), assessment testing, relational issues, anxiety, depression, gender issues, LGBTQ issues, cross-cultural issues, Veteran issues and personality disorders, to name a few. He is also knowledgeable in Mindfulness and how that can assist one in increasing their overall sense of well-being.
Dr. Crawford provides individual, couples and family; Bio- and Neurofeedback to reduce attention issues; consultation services; and assessment testing. He primarily uses a psychodynamic approach to psychotherapy, specifically Intersubjectivity, as the quality of the relationship in therapy likely parallels the quality of the client’s relationship in their life. He is proficient, however, in Behavioral, Mindful, Client-Centered and Solution-Focused interventions to most effectively aid his clients. Moreover, Dr. Crawford emphasizes listening and validating so the client feels heard, accepted and understood.
