Andrew Jung, LMFT
I have been a LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) for the past 7 years with a bachelors of science from Oregon State University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with children and families in different roles. I have worked as the Behavioral Specialist for Tom Sawyer Camps, as well as the Director of Programs at a social skills training program called BLAST that specializes in working with kids diagnosed with Autism and ADHD (among other things) to make AND keep friends. I am dedicated to individual counseling, parent support, and social skills training for children, teens, and young adults.
My approach is simple: meet my clients where they are at with empathy and validation. I have a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while also implementing a humanistic approach to see the whole individual (or family). Through the fun of playing games, engaging in role-plays, or just talk therapy; I work with individuals, parents, and children on finding a solution to problems with communication, behavior, and resilience.
In our work together, I will provide a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable being vulnerable and open enough to explore your feelings, reflect on your experiences, and raise awareness to your own behavior patterns to ultimately find joy in life. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you in fostering a fulfilling life for yourself.
