Hello and thank you for visiting Gunn Psychological Services. My name is Dr. Timothy Gunn and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, in Orange, California where my primary rotation was on the Oncology floor with additional rotations in neurology, psychopharmacology and early childhood development. During that time, I also gained specialization in pediatric neuropsychology. Throughout my career, I have taught (and continue to teach) doctoral level classes on child therapy, assessment/psychometrics and psychobiology. 

With Gunn Psychological Services, Inc., I provide assessment services for children and adults. I often provide evaluations of intellectual functioning for children suspected of intellectual giftedness, evaluations of general intellectual and academic functioning, psychodiagnostic evaluations, developmental evaluations, comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, college/career assessments and anything in between. I am able to provide services on a sliding scale, create payment plans and (when possible) bill evaluations through the major Southern California insurance companies in order to accommodate the financial needs of the families with whom I work.

I am passionate about discovering and encouraging people's strengths. I feel highly blessed and honored to play a part in helping families and individuals obtain the information and services they need. I am particularly passionate about seeing children in the special education system find their strengths and become motivated to fulfill their potential. I believe that all people are capable of accomplishing incredible successes. Seeing this belief manifest as a reality in the lives of the children and adults I've worked with has been my most rewarding professional experience and continues to be the driving force for my ongoing professional practice.
