Marlene is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with a broad spectrum of clients. She received her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California.  She has been clinically trained and certified in trauma focused and evidence-based practices such as Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) treating clients ages 0-5, Seeking Safety focusing on PTSD and other evidenced based treatment models such as Managing and Adaptive Practices (MAP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).  She has also worked as an Educationally Related Mental Health Services Counselor working closely with students and schools to carry out the social emotional goals on a student’s IEP.  She has provided behavior intervention, individual and group therapy for children, adolescents and adults as well as parenting classes and support. 


She works collaboratively as a solution-focused therapist. Through this approach, she provides support and practical feedback to help her clients effectively address life challenges. She also integrates techniques and helpful assignments to offer a highly-personalized program tailored towards her clients. With compassion, empathy and understanding, she works to help identify and build on client strengths and attain the personal growth and healing that they are committed to achieving.
